What is DiG?
DIG
Domain Information Groper (abbr. dig, or DiG) is a network tool, like nslookup, that queries DNS name servers.
It can be used to simulate a DNS resolver or a name server. DiG can be used for network troubleshooting and for educational purposes.
You can also directly insert the output of the dig command (available on UNIX-like systems, and can be installed on Windows also) in the DNS zone files of your DNS server.
